The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) is reshaping professional learning by launching flexible skill development courses tailored for working professionals. Designed to fit around full-time work schedules, these courses aim to make upskilling more accessible and industry-aligned.
The new initiative also includes a revamp of engineering education in DSEU by replacing traditional BTech admissions with a focus on Diploma-to-Degree (D2D) pathways, giving diploma holders in Delhi a chance to pursue lateral entry into engineering degrees.
With rapid technological changes and job role evolution, Delhi’s workforce — from junior engineers to sales executives — faces an urgent need for continuous learning. However, the rigid structures of traditional education have long excluded those with weekday jobs.
Recognizing this gap, DSEU has rolled out modular, weekend-based, and hybrid (online + offline) programs specifically designed to:
This initiative supports Delhi’s broader skill development agenda under the Skill India and Startup India frameworks.
While the official course list is awaited, expected areas include:
“The goal is to empower individuals with high-quality, job-aligned training without disrupting their employment. It also enhances employability for those seeking career transitions,” said a DSEU official during the press briefing.
DSEU will no longer admit fresh students into traditional four-year BTech programs. Instead, it will prioritize diploma holders from Delhi who want to upgrade through lateral entry into second-year engineering programs.
This revamp:
“Engineering should not just be theoretical; it must create skilled professionals who are ready to work from day one,” said a faculty member from DSEU’s Okhla campus.
These flexible courses are expected to be available across multiple DSEU campuses in Delhi including:
This localized access ensures professionals from various parts of Delhi NCR can enroll without long commutes — a key barrier in traditional part-time courses.
A senior marketing executive based in West Delhi who participated in a prior DSEU pilot course shared:
“I couldn’t take a full-time MBA, but DSEU’s weekend digital marketing course helped me grow my brand’s online reach. The faculty was practical, and the certification made a real difference in my appraisals.”
Exact dates have not been announced. DSEU is expected to roll out application details on dseu.ac.in in the coming weeks. You can sign up for alerts there.
