Delhi University has officially launched the second round of postgraduate (PG) admissions for the 2025–26 academic session under its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-PG). With several thousand candidates still in the fray, this phase provides a crucial second chance for those who missed the first round or are applying under reserved and performance-based categories.
What Makes This Phase Crucia
This round is not just about filling vacant seats—it’s also about making space for new applicants, special categories like single girl child, and programs that operate under performance-based evaluations.
“We’ve ensured greater transparency and support this time through webinars and help desks,” said Haneet Gandhi, Dean of Admissions, University of Delhi.

FAQs
What is Round 2 of DU PG Admissions 2025 and who can participate?
Round 2 is the second seat allocation phase under DU’s CSAS PG 2025. It is open to students who registered in Phase 1 and either did not receive a seat in Round 1 or opted for an upgrade. Fresh candidates cannot join in Round 2 unless DU opens mid-entry in later phases.
What is the last date to accept a seat under DU PG Round 2?
Students must accept their seat by June 29, 2025, 11:59 PM via the CSAS portal. Missing the deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
Is seat upgrade possible after accepting Round 2 allocation?
Yes, students can choose the “upgrade” option while accepting their seat. This keeps them eligible for a better course or college in Round 3, as per their preference order. Selecting “freeze” finalizes the admission and ends upgrade eligibility.
What documents are required for verification in DU PG admissions?
The required documents include graduation mark sheets, provisional or final degree, valid ID proof, category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), PwD/CW certificate (if applicable), and migration certificate (if from a non-DU university). All documents must be uploaded digitally unless otherwise instructed.
Can students who missed Phase 1 register in Round 2?
No. Round 2 is available only to those who registered during Phase 1 of CSAS PG 2025. However, DU may announce a mid-entry window in later rounds if seats remain.
Can course or college preferences be changed after Round 2 allotment?
No. Preferences are locked after the initial submission. Students can either accept the current seat or wait for a possible upgrade. Reordering or modifying preferences is not allowed.
What happens if a student misses the fee payment deadline?
The admission offer stands cancelled if the student does not complete the fee payment within the given timeframe. Depending on DU’s rules, the student may or may not be considered in further rounds.
Are reserved category seats available in Round 2?
Yes. Seats under SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD, CW, and other reservation categories are allocated as per University of Delhi norms. Valid certificates must be uploaded for eligibility.
Will document verification be done online or in person?
Verification is primarily online through the CSAS portal. In rare cases involving discrepancies, the student may be asked to appear in person for further verification by the concerned department or college.
Can students from non-DU universities apply for DU PG?
Yes. DU accepts candidates from all UGC-recognized universities. Students from outside DU must meet the eligibility criteria and upload their mark sheets and provisional certificates as proof of qualification.
