In a landmark political development, Rekha Gupta has been sworn in as the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi, marking the BJP’s return to power after nearly three decades. One of her first major decisions was approving the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the capital. The scheme, previously blocked in Delhi, will now provide ₹10 lakh health coverage per family, combining contributions from both the central and state governments.
A key promise of the BJP’s election manifesto, CM Gupta announced that eligible women in Delhi will receive ₹2,500 per month, with the first payouts beginning on March 8 (International Women’s Day).
CM Gupta has prioritized infrastructure projects, including road maintenance, waste management, and water supply improvements. Her team has already conducted site inspections across the city to identify urgent issues.
