Park, Gurugram
Leisure Valley Park
A long green park in Sector 29 with walking tracks, swings and a musical fountain. The restaurants and bars of the Sector 29 market are right next door.
What it is
Leisure Valley is one of the bigger public parks in central Gurugram. Paths run along its length past lawns, a rose garden, swings and a children's play area, and there is a musical fountain with a water and light show. Walkers and runners use it every morning. In the evening families and teenagers take over. It is a public park, so expect a few worn patches alongside the well-kept lawns.
Getting there
IFFCO Chowk on the Yellow Line is the nearest metro, about a 12-minute walk. Millennium City Centre is also close. If you drive, parking around the Sector 29 market gets tight in the evenings.
When to go
Early mornings and winter afternoons are the most pleasant. In summer the park fills up in the evening once the heat drops. Weekends bring big groups and birthday picnics, so weekday visits are calmer for small children. Winter smog days are best skipped.
Good to know
There is a small cafe inside. The Sector 29 market beside the park has a long row of restaurants and bars that fill up at night, so the area is loud and busy after dark at weekends. For a quiet walk, go in the morning. Carry water in summer and mosquito repellent after the monsoon.
