Park, Greater Noida
City Park, Alpha 1
Greater Noida's main town park, across from the Alpha 2 commercial belt. Lawns, jogging tracks and picnic spots, and full of families on cool evenings.
What it is
A big public park with open lawns, jogging trails and picnic areas, run as the town's main green space. It is usually listed under Alpha 1, though the district's own page puts it opposite the Alpha 2 commercial belt.
Regulars come for the morning walk. Later in the day it fills with children, grandparents on benches and the odd birthday picnic spread out under the trees.
Getting there
Alpha 1 is the nearest Aqua Line station. From there it's a walk or a short e-rickshaw ride. If you drive, there is parking, and Pari Chowk is close by road.
When to go
From October to March, any time of day works. In summer go early in the morning or after sunset, because there is little shade on the open lawns at midday.
Weekend evenings are the busiest. Weekday mornings belong to the walkers.
On winter Sundays families arrive with a flask of tea and stay the whole afternoon.
Good to know
Opening hours are not posted online, so plan on daylight hours. Bring a mat if you want to sit on the grass. For food, the shops and eateries in the Alpha 2 commercial belt are right across the road. During the monsoon some paths get muddy, so wear shoes you don't mind dirtying.
