Airport, Greater Noida
Noida International Airport
Open for flights since 15 June 2026. The airport at Jewar (code DXN) runs domestic routes on IndiGo and Akasa Air, with no international flights announced as of November 2026.
What it is
Delhi NCR's second big airport, at Jewar, down the Yamuna Expressway. The first commercial flight, an IndiGo service from Lucknow, landed on the morning of 15 June 2026, and Akasa Air followed within days.
Phase one has one runway and one terminal, built for up to 12 million passengers a year. Later phases are meant to add more runways. Inside you will find the usual airport food, including Chai Point, Costa Coffee and KFC.
Getting there
By road, straight down the Yamuna Expressway from Pari Chowk. There is no metro or rail link yet. Uber and Rapido have tie-ups with the airport, and UP and Haryana roadways buses connect it to cities in both states.
From Greater Noida West or Delhi it is a long drive, so leave a good margin.
When to go
Aim to reach well before your flight, as you would at any airport. In December and January, fog on the expressway can slow the drive badly, especially early in the morning.
Good to know
Routes are still being added and dropped. IndiGo has flown to cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Amritsar and Jammu, and Akasa Air to Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai, but check with the airline before you book. For international travel you still need IGI in Delhi.
