Mall, Gurugram

Ambience Mall

One of the biggest malls in NCR, right where NH-48 crosses into Gurugram from Delhi. Easy by car, a little awkward by metro.

What it is

Ambience Mall stands on Ambience Island beside NH-48, just inside the Delhi border. It is huge: several floors of brand stores, a food court, restaurants and a PVR cinema, with office space in the same complex. Families use it for a whole afternoon out, especially in the May and June heat or on a smoggy winter weekend when nobody wants to be outdoors.

Getting there

By car it is right on the highway. From Delhi you reach it just after the border. From Gurugram you come up NH-48 and use the slip roads, which can jam on weekend evenings. The mall has its own parking.

There is no metro at the door. Moulsari Avenue on the Rapid Metro is about 1.3 km away and Guru Dronacharya on the Yellow Line about 3 km, so most people take a cab or auto from the station.

When to go

Weekday mornings and early afternoons are calm. Saturday and Sunday evenings are crowded, and getting out of the car park after a late show can take a while.

Good to know

Each store and restaurant keeps its own hours, so check before planning a late meal. From Cyber City it is a short cab ride, and the two are easy to combine in one evening.
