Stadium, Noida
Noida Stadium
Noida's main sports complex, in Sector 21A, with a cricket ground, an indoor stadium with a shooting range, tennis courts and a golf range.
What it is
The complex spreads over roughly 62 acres and was developed by the Noida Authority. It has a cricket stadium, tennis courts and a golf driving range. The indoor stadium, opened in January 2021, has courts for badminton, basketball, table tennis and several combat sports, plus a shooting range for pistol and rifle.
Most of what happens here is training and coaching rather than big events. Plans for a 50-metre competition pool at the site were announced in 2023.
Getting there
Noida City Centre on the Blue Line is the nearest station, about 2 km away. Take an auto or e-rickshaw from there. Sector 21A is surrounded by the older residential sectors, so the approach roads are narrow at peak hours.
When to go
Early mornings and evenings, when it is cooler and the coaching batches run. Summer afternoons on the open grounds are punishing. Weekends are the busiest time at the cricket nets and on the tennis courts.
Good to know
This is mainly for members and paid coaching, not walk-in play. Ask at the stadium office about current membership rules and fees, which have changed over the years. If your child wants to join a batch, go in person and see the coaching first. Carry your own water and kit.
