Mall, Noida
The Great India Place
One of Noida's first big malls, in Sector 38A near Botanical Garden, sharing its boundary with the Worlds of Wonder rides and water park.
What it is
For years The Great India Place, or GIP, was the big family day out in Noida. It is still a large mall, but newer malls have taken much of its crowd, and many families now come mainly for Worlds of Wonder next door. Gardens Galleria is close by in the same sector.
In March 2025 the Noida Authority approved plans for new theme parks at GIP, to be built in phases, on condition that the company clears its dues. Expect some changes on site over the next few years.
Getting there
Botanical Garden station, on the Blue and Magenta Lines, is the closest. Sector 18 station is a longer walk. By car, the mall is close to the Mahamaya flyover and has its own parking.
When to go
Weekday afternoons are quiet. School holidays and summer weekends bring crowds, mostly heading for the water park. In summer, mornings are also the coolest time to walk between the mall and Worlds of Wonder.
Good to know
Worlds of Wonder needs its own ticket, and the water park is seasonal, so check its website before you go. Some floors of the mall are much quieter than others. If you are going for one particular shop, check it is still open first. Gardens Galleria next door has more restaurants if you want to eat after the rides.
