CBSE schools in Delhi

Delhi's private schools are almost all CBSE, and so are its government schools. We list 47 CBSE schools in Delhi. Yearly fees on our list run from ₹15,000 to ₹3.8 lakh.

Why most families here pick CBSE

CBSE is the board most private schools in NCR follow. It uses NCERT books, which are also what JEE and NEET are built on, and a CBSE child can move to a CBSE school in another city without starting over. The trade-off is less depth in languages and the arts than ICSE.

Questions parents ask

Which is the best CBSE school in Delhi?
We do not name a single best school, because the right one depends on where you live, what you can spend and what your child needs. On our list, the highest rated right now are Modern School Barakhamba Road, Vasant Valley School and DPS R.K. Puram. Visit at least two schools and talk to parents at the gate before you decide.
How much do CBSE schools in Delhi cost?
On our list, yearly fees run from ₹15,000 to ₹3.8 lakh a year. Each school's page shows its own fee. Ask every school for its full fee sheet. Transport, books, uniform and annual charges are usually extra, and fees go up most years.
Is CBSE better than ICSE?
Neither is better for every child. CBSE is closer to the JEE and NEET syllabus and has far more schools to choose from. ICSE covers more subjects in more depth, with more writing and literature. If your family may move cities, CBSE is the easier board to change schools in.
When do admissions open?
Most private schools take registrations in the winter for the session that starts in April. Dates differ by school and by state, and Delhi nursery admissions follow their own government schedule. We post confirmed dates on our admissions pages and can email you when they change.
