Delhi nursery admission 2027–28

How many points does your child get?

Every private school in Delhi gives points its own way: distance from home, a sibling in the school, a parent who studied there. Pick the schools on your list, answer a few questions for each, and see your points side by side.

Not out yet

Schools put up their 2027–28 points a few days after the Directorate of Education's schedule, usually in late November. We add each school here as soon as its list is out, checked against the school's own notice. Until then, you can work it out with last year's lists from 22 schools below.

Distance: measure it the way the school says (usually the shortest route on Google Maps, from your home to the school gate).

More points don't guarantee a seat: it depends on how many children apply with the same points. Ties are settled by a draw of lots. Always check the school's own list before you apply.

How schools gave points last year

For 2026–27, distance from home carried the most weight at most schools. A few examples as reported by PTI on 28 November 2025:

  • Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura: 80 points within 2 km, 70 for 2–5 km, 60 for 5–8 km; 10 each for a sibling and for alumni.
  • Tagore International School, East of Kailash: 50 for living within 4 km or on a school bus route; 30 for a first child, 20 for a second; 10 each for sibling, alumni and staff ward.
  • Amity International School, Saket: 30 for neighbourhood; 30 for alumni; 20 each for sibling and staff ward.

These are last year's. Schools can change their points every year, so use them only to understand how it works.
