Excelsior American School

Excelsior American School in DLF Phase 4 is one of the few schools in Gurgaon offering a genuinely American curriculum, making it a unique and specialised option for a specific group of families. Established in 2011 to serve Gurgaon's growing American expatriate community and Indian families with strong ties to the United States, the school follows the American model of education from Nursery through to Grade 12, culminating in the Advanced Placement programme that is recognised by American universities for college credit. The school's educational approach reflects American pedagogy, with an emphasis on critical thinking, class participation, project-based assessment, and the development of independent learners. The AP programme, which offers university-level courses in a range of subjects, is particularly valued by families targeting Ivy League and other selective American universities. With a student strength of approximately 700, Excelsior American School is intentionally small, maintaining an intimate community where the college counselling is personalised and university placement outcomes are strong. Facilities are modern and well-designed, reflecting the school's premium positioning, with excellent science laboratories, digital learning resources, a library, and good sports facilities. The faculty is predominantly American or American-trained, providing an authentic cultural and pedagogical environment. Annual fees of ₹3.8 lakh to ₹5.6 lakh are among the highest in Gurgaon and reflect the specialised curriculum. Admission is selective. For American families and Indian families firmly committed to US university education, Excelsior American School is the most dedicated option available in Gurgaon.
